Al Muta’ali
The Most Exalted
Exalted and Glorious
All-Knower of the Unseen and the Seen, the Most Great, the Most High. (13:9)
This name is one of the 99 names of Allah, the Most Great, the Most Exalted, the Lofty One.
He who repeats this name frequently will gain the benevolence of Allah. Recitation of the sacred name of Allah restores lost capabilities, power, and prestige.
Al-Muta’ali is the Exalted Who is not preceded by anything in existence. He is the Exalted before all existence. So let us believe with a belief of absolute certainty that Allah is the Exalted One without anything else being with Him in this.
Allah Allah Allah

AL-MUTA’ALI
Allah is the Supreme One. His greatness grows. As He gives from His inexhaustible treasures, His riches increase. As the needs of His creation increase, His bounties increase. Yet if all the forces, the conniving minds, and the armies of the entire universe united, they could not by force take anything from Him, even a thing the size of a mustard seed, without His permission and His will.
You might be strong, young, and handsome today, but you may be sick, decrepit, and crippled tomorrow. You might be wise and intelligent today, but you may lose your wits tomorrow. You might be rich, and become bankrupt. Think of the nations that were supreme on the face of this earth, but then were trampled and dishonored and have disappeared from the maps.
Allah the Supreme One is exempt from all such failures and defects.
The true servant, who sincerely says amantu bi-Llahi, “I believe in Allah,” believes in that One whose attributes, qualities, and beautiful Names are described in the Holy Qur’an and the hadiths. There are also those who believe in nothing other than themselves, in this world, and in the joys, pleasures, and riches of this world. There are yet others who believe in gods who walk in the gardens of Eden in the cool of the day or walk upon the clouds or sit on thrones, who have wives and children, who regret having created some among their creations and some among human beings.
Allah the Supreme One is free from such attributions. Those who lower Him to the level of their imagination are lowering themselves from the high state of servantship to the lowest state of their evil-commanding egos.
‘Abd al-Muta’ali is that exalted servant of Allah who climbs from one height to another in the comprehension of things within and without himself. He witnesses limitless divine heights, soaring to this level through Allah’s generosity and reward for his continuous consciousness, remembrance and devotion. His whole purpose, intention, effort, and attention are focused on knowing, finding, and being with Allah.
Allah Most High, in Surah Ta Ha (114), addressing Muhammad (pbuh), the highest being in the entire creation says:
(O My beloved) Say: My Lord, increase me in knowledge.
Even he was ordered to wish to know more about his Lord.
If a believer, demoted through no fault of his own, recites this Name 540 times, he may regain his position, or be raised to a position above others who have the same qualifications. Recitation of this Name the same number of times before an interview may help one to be more effective.
