Al-Bari’
Exalted and Glorious
So turn in repentance to your maker. (2:54)
Truly I am innocent of what you join in worship with Him. (6:19)
Verily, I have turned my face toward Him Who has created the heavens and the earth, and I am not of those who give partners to Allah. (6:79)
The name of the Maker is the Evolver. Allah has created all things in proportion. He is the Molder of each form and frame. He is the Designer Builder of Earth and of Heaven.
This name is used to induce labor for a woman whose time to give birth has arrived, but she is having difficulty. She fasts for 7 days and each day, at the time of breaking fast, she repeats three names of Allah: the Creator (Al-Khaliq), the Maker (Al-Bari’), and the Fashioner (Al-Musawwir), 21 times each. She then breathes into a cup of water and drinks this water. Allah will bless her with a child.
Al-Bari’ is the One Who created the creation with His power, not by making a previous copy of something. He is the One with the power to manifest what He wills into existence. My believing brother, the One Who creates surely is deserving of being worshipped; so be sincere in your worship of Allah.

He is the one who orders His creation with perfect harmony – not only is each thing harmonious within itself, but everything is in accordance with everything else. This infinite–seeming universe works like a clock. See how everything in you is connected, working together, and how, when one part fails, all else is affected too.
The functions of one and all depend upon each other. Try to see to it that this harmony that is in your nature is manifested in your life. Allah al-Bari’ gave you intelligence to help you to know your Creator. He also gave you freedom of will and choice so that you may choose right over wrong. But if you use your will to opt for the wrong, and your mind to deny the existence of the Creator, then you will be attempting to destroy the universal harmony; you will end up destroying yourself.
‘Abd al-Bari is the one who is saved from incongruity, error, injustice, and confusion. Such a person is made to act in perfect uniformity with the divine laws working in nature and can help and inspire others to do the same. The attribute of al-Bari’, the one who creates harmony, is actually part of Allah’s attribute ar-Rahman, the Beneficent. As it is mentioned in Surah Mulk (3).
Thou seest no incongruity in the creation of the Beneficent. Then look again, canst thou see any disorder?
Consequently ‘Abd al-Bari’ is necessarily beneficent in his harmoniousness.
